See which sales plays win - Performance and Missed cues

Modified on Sat, 11 Jul at 10:30 AM

You don't have to guess which of Riley's sales plays are earning their keep. Two pages in the Tim Playbook section show you exactly that: Performance ranks the plays by how they do on real calls, and Missed cues shows the moments where a play should have fired but didn't.

Gambit performance: winners and underperformers

Open Tim Playbook > Performance in the sidebar (or go to /dashboard/gambits/performance). The page shows two lists:

  • Top 5 winners: the plays that perform best on your real calls. These are the ones moving your numbers - leave them on.
  • Underperformers: the plays that are firing but not landing. These are your candidates for tuning.

What to do with an underperformer

When a play shows up in the Underperformers list, you have three moves, from lightest to heaviest:

  1. Turn the intensity down. In the Gambit library (/dashboard/gambits), each play has an intensity slider. A softer version of the same play often works better than none.
  2. Rewrite the script. Open the Sales Tactics editor and change the wording so it fits your shop. Your edited copy overrides the default for your shop only.
  3. Disable it. Flip the play's toggle off in the Gambit library if it simply doesn't fit how you sell.

Missed cues: the leaks in your funnel

Open Tim Playbook > Missed cues (or go to /dashboard/gambits/missed-cues). This page lists your leakiest plays - the plays that had a clear opening on a call and didn't fire. Each entry links to example calls so you can hear the exact moment the opportunity slipped by.

Missed cues are usually the fastest wins available. A play that never fires can't sell anything, so a leak here often matters more than a mediocre performer. Listen to one or two of the linked example calls, then check that the play is enabled in the Gambit library and that its intensity isn't set so low it never gets a chance.

Make it a habit

A quick weekly loop keeps the playbook sharp:

  1. Check Performance - confirm your winners are still winning.
  2. Check Missed cues - listen to one example call from the leakiest play.
  3. Adjust one thing (intensity, script, or toggle), not five. Small changes are easier to judge on next week's numbers.
