Follow-up questions and workflow triggers

Modified on Sat, 11 Jul at 10:30 AM

Two smaller Cadence pages round out the follow-up system: the question bank at https://km-florist-receptionist.vercel.app/cadence/questions, and the workflow list at https://km-florist-receptionist.vercel.app/cadence/workflows. The first shapes the questions used in follow-ups, the second shows which workflows exist and what starts each one.

The question bank

Follow-ups work better when they ask something specific. The questions page holds a bank of questions organized per topic, so follow-up messages can pull a question that fits the conversation.

  • Question rows per topic: each topic has its own set of question rows.
  • Move up / Move down: reorder questions within a topic to control priority.
  • Delete: remove a question that no longer fits.
  • Universal fallback question: the question used when no topic-specific one applies, so a follow-up never goes out empty-handed.

Keep it sharp

  1. Put the strongest question first in each topic - order matters.
  2. Delete near-duplicates so the same lead doesn't get asked two versions of one question.
  3. Make the universal fallback broad enough to work for anyone, since it's the safety net.

Workflows and their triggers

The workflows page lists every workflow as a row with its Name and its Trigger - what causes a person to enter it. This is your map of the follow-up system: which sequences exist, and what starts each one.

These are the same workflows you choose from when you add a person on /cadence/flow, and each one sends the touches defined in the editor at /cadence. If a lead ended up in a sequence and you're not sure why, this page tells you which trigger put them there.
